Bungalow 2 is not your typical hotel. It is a cherished family residence offering a unique opportunity to experience the cultural and social life of western Rajasthan. Before you finalize your booking, please ensure you have taken a close look at our House Guidelines and other important details below.

Booking Agreement
Your booking and payment signify your agreement to our House Guidelines and Terms of Service outlined below.
Dining
All meals are served in the Gol-Kamra Dining area, or if you wish you can also enjoy them in the Garden or on the Gol-Kamra Terrace. The Gol-Kamra Terrace is a semi-covered roof top lounge in an intimate setting with the view of The Umaid Bhawan Palace.
“Home Cooked Meals Only”: All meals at Bungalow 2 are prepared fresh in our family kitchen. The breakfast is included in your stay, if you like to have any other meals with us, kindly let us know in advance. We would be happy to arrange a Marwar style Thali Dinner/ Lunch for you if you like to experience the same.
- Breakfast is served from 8.00 to 10.00 a.m. You can let us know if you want to have it earlier or later than that, arrangements can be made accordingly.
- Complimentary tea and coffee can be enjoyed in the Gol-Kamra Dining area, on the Gol-Kamra Terrace, on the Garden-Verandah or in the garden at any time of the day.
- We do not provide any room-service, but we do allow food to be brought/ordered from outside restaurants. Kindly do not eat in the rooms, please use the Dining Hall Gol-Kamra area and feel free to ask us for crockery, cutlery, glasses etc.
- Our kitchen is open to all staying guests and you are welcome to enter the kitchen and watch our kitchen staff at work. However, the kitchen is not available to the guests for cooking.
- We provide complimentary RO filtered safe drinking water in glass bottles to minimize plastic use. If any of our guests prefer to have packed mineral water only, the same can be provided at an extra charge.
- Our guests get to eat the same food that is prepared for us in our family kitchen. The menu gets decided generally on every weekend as per vegetables growing at the time, in our kitchen garden (a few kilometers away from Bungalow 2) or the seasonal vegetables available in the local vegetable market. If you have any food allergies or do not prefer certain types of food, please inform us in advance so that we can alter the menu accordingly. If you have any special wish and would like to try any particular local food you can always let us know.

Check-In & Check-Out Timings
Check-in is at 2 p.m., and check-out is at 10 a.m. Different times may be arranged; refer to our Terms and Conditions page for details or write to us on info@bungalowtwo.com.
Children
To maintain a serene ambiance, we don’t accommodate children below 7 years. We love children and their free spirit as we believe it would be unfair on them to ask them to stay quiet or to put any other restrictions. Hence we do not encourage guests with small children who could/may/would be loud and noisy. Exceptions can be discussed via email info@bungalowtwo.com.
Pets
We have a friendly Boxer named Bruno. If you’re not fond of dogs, we can ensure he stays away from you.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted in any of our rooms. Should you need to smoke, we kindly request that you step outside the room and head to the designated smoking areas located on the terraces, garden or porch.
Guest Visits
If you have friends visiting you, you are most welcome to invite them to the common areas/lounge or the terrace. But taking your visitors to the rooms is strictly not permitted.
Staying out late
Feel free to enjoy and extend your night out for as long as you’d like, but just be sure to communicate your late return to the night duty staff or the on-duty guard. Our reception isn’t available 24 hours, but there will be staff and a guard on site from 11 p.m. until 6 a.m. when the kitchen opens.
Internet
We are pleased to provide our guests with complimentary high-speed internet service (approx. 300-400 Mbps) throughout their stay. It is perfect for browsing, emails, and staying connected on social media. If you require faster internet than what’s provided, please let us know in advance before your arrival, and we can arrange it for you (additional charges may apply).
Yoga Lessons
Yoga mats are at your disposal for use, and should you desire, we can also organize a yoga instructor on prior notice (*additional charges apply).
Rooms
- All our rooms are non-smoking rooms.
- We do not have Intercoms, Televisions, as it may cause disturbance to the neighboring rooms.
- Please be advised that there is no elevator, and all the guest rooms are located on the first floor.
- We do not provide Extra Bed for a third room occupant, as our rooms are meant to comfortably accommodate 2 adults only. An additional bed would mean compromising on space and comfort.
- We provide complimentary RO filtered safe drinking water in glass bottles to minimize plastic use. But if any of our guests prefer to have packed mineral water only, the same can be provided at an extra charge.
- We do not provide any room-service, nor do we have tea/coffee making facility in the individual rooms. Order for the same can be placed anytime during the day with the staff in Gol-Kamra Dining or on the Gol-Kamra Terrace (complimentary).
- Though almost all the common areas of the property are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras, the responsibility for your personal belongings lies with you.
- All our rooms have en-suite bathrooms complete with rain showers, hot & cold running water, cosmetic mirror, hair dryer and room heaters.
- Fresh towels, soaps, liquid hand wash, shampoo, hair conditioner, body moisturiser and shower gel are part of the standard amenities in all bathrooms.
- Our housekeeping service involves daily room cleaning, but staff will enter your room only if you leave your keys with them. In line with our commitment to water conservation and sustainability, bed linen is changed every 4 days, and towels are changed every 2 days, unless you request more frequent changes.
- In case a guest doesn’t want human help to enter their room for cleaning: Robot vacuum cleaners are available upon request.
- Laundry service is available for stays longer than 2 nights (chargeable).
- All the rooms are equipped with split air conditioning units that provide both hot and cold settings.
- Though power-cuts are rare in Jodhpur, solar-charged battery backup and motion-sensor lights ensure uninterrupted comfort and safety during power cuts, and also help saving energy.
Noise Disclaimer
Indian cities can be lively and vibrant, especially during certain times of the day and during events like weddings or religious festivals. Despite our efforts to soundproof the rooms, you might occasionally catch local sounds, such as temple Puja prayers or the Azan from a distant Mosque.
Staff Tipping
If you like to reward the staff, you are most welcome to do so, but please do NOT tip the staff individually. The show runs with the efforts of the entire team and there are several others behind the scene, who may not be visible. We suggest that you place the gratuities in a sealed envelope and leave it in the tipping-box at the time of check-out, so that the reward goes to all of them at the end.
Swimming Pool
Considering the serious water scarcity in the Jodhpur region, we decided against having a swimming pool. It was more important for us to make this responsible choice. In this part of the country where even today the residents of Jodhpur get water supply for only 2 to 3 hours, every alternate day, for us it is important to prioritize the needs of the community and environment over certain luxuries. Besides, Jodhpur has so much more to offer in terms of authentic experiences that go beyond a swimming pool.
Local Guided Sightseeing, Walks and Transport
Guided sightseeing tours, guided walks, same day excursions, transport within the city or outstation can be arranged on prior request (*on extra charges).
